Blank Tape, $120 ETB Ask, Happy Combo Launch: Market Signals 2026-10-16

Friday, 9 a.m. Singapore. Nothing new on the tape. All five 30th Celebration English sealed pages on PriceCharting are exactly where they were yesterday: no new completed sales, no print moves. The newest row on four of them is still October 14. On Sylveon it's October 13.

The only movement is on the ask side, and it's the ETB again.

Signal 1: The ETB ask keeps walking down

The cheapest PriceCharting listing on the [Elite Trainer Box](https://www.pricecharting.com/game/pokemon-30th-celebration/elite-trainer-box) is now $120.00 with free shipping. Yesterday it was $125.00. The day before, $140.00.

Put that next to the real numbers. The newest sale is $138.90 (TCGPlayer, October 14). The print is $152.82. So the ask sits $18.90 under the last sale and $32.82 under the print. The TCGPlayer ask hasn't moved from $138.30.

An ask isn't a sale. One seller can drag the low listing down for days and then pull it. But three days in a row of lower asks on one page tells you which side is impatient. If you want an English ETB, wait to see where the next sale lands. Don't pay the print.

Signal 2: The cheap KO listing is gone

[Knock Out Collection](https://www.pricecharting.com/game/pokemon-30th-celebration/knock-out-collection) had a $25.67 PriceCharting ask with free shipping yesterday. Today the lowest PriceCharting ask is $30.00. The TCGPlayer ask is unchanged at $27.79, which is still the cheaper way in.

We can't tell from the page whether the $25.67 listing sold or got pulled. If it sold, it should show up as a completed row in the next few days, the way seven October 12 to 14 sales showed up all at once yesterday.

The five pages

- [Booster Bundle](https://www.pricecharting.com/game/pokemon-30th-celebration/booster-bundle): print $77.79, unchanged. Newest sale October 14, TCGPlayer, $76.50. TCGPlayer ask $73.03, unchanged. - [Sylveon ex Box](https://www.pricecharting.com/game/pokemon-30th-celebration/sylveon-ex-box): print $59.99, unchanged. Newest sale October 13, TCGPlayer, $57.00. TCGPlayer ask $62.89, unchanged. - Elite Trainer Box: print $152.82, unchanged. Newest sale $138.90. Asks $120.00 (PriceCharting, free shipping) and $138.30 (TCGPlayer). - [Poster Collection](https://www.pricecharting.com/game/pokemon-30th-celebration/poster-collection): print $38.65, unchanged. Newest sale October 14, TCGPlayer, $37.00. TCGPlayer ask $38.75, unchanged. - Knock Out Collection: print $27.84, unchanged. Newest sale October 14, TCGPlayer, $27.50. Asks $27.79 (TCGPlayer) and $30.00 (PriceCharting, free shipping).

A flat day after a catch-up day is normal. We saw the same pattern last week: a few blank days, then a batch of sales posted together. Read today as "nothing posted," not "nothing sold."

China: Happy Combo goes on sale at 10:00

The Simplified Chinese 嗨皮组合 训练家的宝可梦 (Happy Combo, Trainer's Pokémon) goes on sale today at 10:00 Beijing time, which is the same clock as Singapore. MSRP is ¥88. The single random deck, 嗨皮卡组, is ¥20 MSRP. This is a Chinese-market product. It has no English twin on the PriceCharting pages above, so don't mix it into 30th Celebration comps.

What's in the box, per the [official product page](https://www.pokemon.cn/tcg/product/23939.html):

- Four 60-card decks: Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex, Iris's Garchomp ex, Misty's Gyarados, and Ethan's Typhlosion. One of the four can come as a holo version of the deck. Official rate: 1.6%. Same list, different finish. - Seven 2-card Happy Packs. 49 regular cards, 49 Poké Ball pattern holos, 49 Master Ball pattern holos. Official rates: 88.45% regular, 10.5% Poké Ball pattern, 1.05% Master Ball pattern. - One 10-card upgrade pack, where Snorlax ex is listed at 3.1%. - One 1-card prize pack: basic Energy holo 87.5%, Pokémon ex holo 12.5%.

For collectors the chase is the Master Ball pattern holos and the holo decks. Expect the first resale asks this afternoon to run hot. We'll wait for weekend sales on Chinese secondhand platforms before calling a price.

China events from October 23

pokemon.cn posted the [gym event notice](https://www.pokemon.cn/tcg/event/24186.html) for the autumn Advanced Tournament on October 15. Special events start October 23 at every official card gym, 31 locations listed. The formats: a Sylveon Challenge for women players, a 3v3 team event, and a ranked Advanced special challenge (start at 1500, up to 20 matches each).

The participation prize for the Sylveon Challenge is a random commemorative sticker plus one Scarlet & Violet "活动特别包 第五弹" (Event Special Pack, vol. 5), a 1-card pack from an 80-card list. The ranked challenge gives drawings for art sleeves, towels and tees, with results by November 20. All merch, no new cards. More vol. 5 packs will be handed out over these weeks than usual. If you're chasing the 80-card set, watch resale asks from late October.

PSA file

No 30th Celebration English grades are back yet, so there's no pop to read. If you end up with a Master Ball pattern holo from Happy Combo, label it as a Simplified Chinese card from day one. Same Pokémon, different language, different SKU, different comps.

Quiet day for new product. pokemon.com's October 15 posts were an LAIC event rundown and the TCG Pocket October producer letter, nothing on new TCG product. PokeBeach's newest post is still the October 13 Louisville metagame column. pokemon-card.com's notice board is still on October 9.
