What matters today
These SIRs are the chase print of the regular day/night Pikachu ex from August 10. They are not the YOSHIROTTEN day/night Pikachu ex promos in the Ultra-Premium Collections. Those UPCs are November 6 on the pokemon.com gallery.
If a listing just says "day night Pikachu ex," ask which SKU. Three products, three checklists. In China, City League Season 3's August 16–19 block starts today. Darkrai is still a band.
Signal 1: SIR first, UPC promos later
August 10 was the regular day/night Pikachu ex. Today is the SIR pair. A different day/night Pikachu ex pair sits in the Ultra-Premium Collections. YOSHIROTTEN art. Different card. Later date.
No new press.pokemon.com alert today. The pokemon.com "Get Ready" page is the standing 30th overview, not an August 16 byline. Save the art. Do not write a raw price for a card that is not out. Any preorder ask this week is mood.
Keep language versions on separate lines. An EN SIR is not a JP print and not a CN print, even if the art matches.
Signal 2: CN City League block opens, it is not product
pokemon.cn posted the S3 city-event list on August 10. The published block is August 16–19. Season window is June 27 to August 23. Today is the first day of that block, not a new promo SKU.
CN Worlds watch events already run August 7 to September 6, with a champion / lucky-draw Pikachu promo at designated stores. That page went up August 3.
If you play, check the store list. If you collect, do not read a league calendar as a restock.
Signal 3: Darkrai tape still wide, one outlier
Pitch Black Mega Darkrai ex SIR #116/084. PriceCharting ungraded print: $249.22, site algorithm, not a sale. Ungraded rows dated today that say 116/084 / SIR: $220.00, $290.44, $232.50. A $396.42 print sits on the ungraded tab and sits above the rest of the week. Do not use it as raw. A $210.00 row titled 107/108 is a different card.
Recent raw eBay is still mostly $200–$280. Three honest comps. Enough to say the band is still moving. Not enough to call a spot. The August 28 Mega Darkrai ex tin is extra foil supply, not a bid.
PSA notes
The SIRs are not in hand. Do not submit from a render. 30th certs need mid-September volume. The UPC promos are a November problem. Grading "day night Pikachu ex" now will just mix numbers. Wait for the checklist to split SIR and promo.
