Saturday. The only dated tabletop drop is in Japan. MEGA series promo pack vol. 5 starts at card gyms nationwide. Storm Emeralda streeted yesterday. Today is the first full calendar day. English Series 3 is still six days out. Do not write a launch tape that is not there.
What matters today
The gym pack is a prize, not a retail SKU. There is no official yen price. If you want Mega Tatsugiri ex or the new Supporter Lida, you play for it. Do not invent an opening print.
English shelves are still Pitch Black. The August 7 Series 3 box, the August 28 tins, and the September 16 30th set have not moved forward.
Signal 1: seven cards, one per pack
Official window: Saturday, August 1, Pokemon Card Gyms across Japan. One random card from seven.
The lineup is Mega Tatsugiri ex, new Supporter Lida, new arts of Wimpod and Tynamo, plus stamped reprints of Patrat, Special Red Card, and Boss's Orders.
Battle rules are printed. Two packs to play. One extra to the winner. One extra for the rock-paper-scissors winner if the store has nine or more players. That is event flow, not allocated retail.
PokeBeach previewed the set in July. Today is the start date, not a new checklist.
Signal 2: Storm Emeralda, day two
Official street was Friday, July 31. Pack MSRP is 200 yen tax-in for five cards. The home shield-battle campaign opened the same day and runs through October 31.
The other gym line is Mega Gallade ex SAR Get Battle, July 31 through October 31. Entry is 15 Storm Emeralda packs. Official pack-equivalent tag: 3,000 yen tax-in. The promo mails later. It is not a day-of handout.
Week-one shop tags are not a sold tape. Do not flatten them into a market price. The English printing of this pool is Delta Reign in November 2026. No English cardboard today.
Signal 3: Friday is still a date
First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 is dated August 7 on pokemon.com. One special pack with 3 of 9 illustration-rare-style Hoenn / Kalos / Paldea promos, two regular boosters, one sticker sheet. Retailers and product guides tag MSRP $14.99. The official English product page confirms the date and contents, not a printed dollar amount. Target lists the same street date.
Through Thursday this is preorder product. No launch solds.
August 28 stacks Mega Forces Tin and Ascended Heroes Tin on Worlds weekend in San Francisco (Moscone Center, Aug 28-30). Some shops have quoted the tins at $21.99. That is a June PokeBeach retail tag, not a sold comp. Local press has Worlds multi-day passes from $120 adult / $70 youth 6-17, arena-inclusive adult from $150. Ticket tags, not TCG MSRP.
30th Celebration is still September 16 worldwide. TCG Live opens September 15 at 10:00 PDT. The JP Premium Deck Set lottery on Pokemon Center Online runs August 10 12:00 through August 14 16:59. Not open this week. English 30th preorders have been live on Pokemon Center since about July 20.
Pocket's Ruler of the Skies covers and backdrops start today. The Pocket set itself launched July 29 at 18:00 PDT. Not a tabletop SKU.
PSA notes
No pop for gym pack vol. 5. It just started. Storm Emeralda slabs on day two only pad the denominator.
Keep languages separate. A Japanese gym promo is not an English or Simplified Chinese card. Series 3 English and China Vol.3 both street on the 7th. Not today.
